Ka’an Coffee Table

A coffee table that uses traditional joinery to accentuate the natural beauty of the different types of highly exotic tropical wood.
The design concept is derived from notions of division and unity, and the open space between the surfaces.
The joints, which are in the shape of bows, are a vital part of the table’s construction, joining two sections while leaving a space in between where the wood has organic natural edges.
The Ka’an Table has a simple form in which the natural beauty of the precious tropical wood is combined with the art of joinery and taken to the highest level. Each table is full of personality.

Ocum side Tables

The quest for the balance in the proportions, the simplicity of the basic shapes and the minimalist construction are the design bases of the Ocum collection.
Versatile side tables, whose covers can be removed from the bases to be used as service trays or centerpieces. This collection presents the tables in two sizes allowing them to be used independently or together to form a composition in which one table is nested under the other.
They are composed of four independent elements. The table tops are supported at three points on a detachable base formed by two elements that are crossed and joined with a small solid brass pin. The precision of its details allows to arm and disarm tables, facilitating their mobility, significantly reducing shipping costs and therefore their carbon footprint.
The sharp contrast between two different species of tropical wood, Mahogany and Katalox, and the bronze detail confer great character to the pieces.
It is artisanal handmade on the lathe, which means a maximum degree of precision and concentration by the craftsmen.
